I missed you today,
when I awoke to cloudy skies, early in the morning.
I could hardly open my eyes
but my mind was full of thoughts of you.
I missed you today..
when your voice wasn't so clear in the phone,
tickling my ear
while a smile would be beggin' to form on my face.
I missed you today..
when throughout my classes you were the only one i would think of.
I'd drift into our special place
where the golden gate was
and to open the gate was to say
"I love you," in between our beating hearts.
I missed you today when i didn't catch you online..
and i waited and waited- but no sign of you.
I waited until the sky grew dark and the moon shined bright
sending light through my window.
I bite my lip.. turning off my computer.
I missed you tonight..
when i tried to go to sleep
and your face was there when i closed my eyes.
I smiled to myself
.. as i drifed off to sleep.
