"Once upon a time
If fairy tales went down today
things would'nt have worked out so well,
for Aladdin and Jasmine,
Cinderella and her Prince,
or Beast and his Belle.
Starting with Aladdin
who’d have never found a lamp,
and Jasmine
being more like that Paris tramp.
"A whole new world" never found,
when there is no desire for change.
Their worlds so far apart
they'd have thought each other strange.
Cinderella would have dropped her Jimmy Choo,
and the prince would have walked on by.
He'd never notice her shoes,
after all he is a guy.
Ever after not so
happy any more,
when a gal is left scrubbing
her step mom’s kitchen floor!
Beast would still be
naturally gruff,
but empowered Belle
would never put up with that stuff.
He would have found himself
in anger management class,
while she got her self
someone much less crass.
You can have happiness
these stories haven’t lied,
they’ve just sort of
over sensationalized.
The moral of this story
completely true:
Fairy tales don’t have it
better than you.
And blown up mythical
circumstances,
shouldn’t make you feel bad
about your chances.
The End"
